A Day Trip to Miri

Last Sunday, the 12th of April 2009,

Although Myself & Tinkerbell is celebrating our 35th month Anniversary, I joined with my family, the Terunjing Termites for a day trip to Miri, where we started off from our house in Bandar roughly around 8 a.m. whereby we arrived at the border at 9.30 am, where thankfully the line was not that long and we made our way to the town centre, where on our way there, I took a few scene pictures...

Our first stop was to a workshop to look for parts for our Yamaha RD125,

We then made our way to a 4x4 workshop to check on items for my beloved hilux, for any new additions. There were a few nice selections for the back cover, exhaust even other accesries like chrome covrs, fog lights and so on...a good shop to drop by if you have 4x4 cars....

We also made a stop to one of the more famous bike workshops in the town area of Miri Town.

We then continued to our next stop to fill up our tanks with food at the Imperial Plaza as on the 3rd floor, the foodcourt holds alot of choices to pick from....

At the time of our arrival, there was a roadshow on career oppotunities available to local residents...

King Joe & Lady Rider having a look at a watch

We then made our way to our final stop which was Parkson Mall where by was still under a major renovation, which included a high parking area and also a new image of Parkson itself...Though I have to point out that although that they are still under renovations, they should not be letting any type of wiring to be hangging around as it is dangerous especially since that area is where drivers park their car and walking in the direction to Parkson...

I then took the opportunity to take a few scenery pictures of the surrounding area,

We then went on to have a look at the new image of Parkson Mall,

a lounging area while waiting for those who goes to the bathroom or a place to rest,

We then drop by to a few shops that were available in the mall,

While we were there, the rain started to pour gradually increasing till a natural waterfall happens right opposite of the Parkson Mall, which really made us worry about the condition of the road on the way back.

On the way home, we got stuck in traffic for at least half an hour due to minor floods on the highway, where once on the back roads leading to the border then it all clear. Upon reaching Brunei, myself and d termites had some fun pics while on the way from KB (Kuala Belait) to BSB (Bandar Seri Begawan).

Upon reaching our house, we were all exhausted after a gruelling day mostly walking...

Oh...and a few pictures of our purchases,

Tiny, Princess's & my watch

Gifts bought for my beloved Tinkerbell,

With that, I hope you have enjoyed the pictures & the trip with us...

Cheers...
