KL Trip Part 1

On the 16th of July 2009,

Myself, Lady Rider & King Joe went off to KL...Kuala Lumpur..Although King Joe & Lady Rider had planned early for the trip, I had joined on a last minute birthday treat for myself..

The purpose of the trip to KL was to have an enjoyable time & relieve stress..However the main reason was...

The Manchester United Asia Tour, with the first game since 2001 for them to play in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. With that, we got our plane tickets and headed to the Brunei National Airport around 4.30pm on the 16th of July. With the Terunjing Termites, Najib, our soldier boy & a special appearance by Tinkerbell to send us off, but before that a quick photo session before heading into the departure hall.

With that we went into the departure hall, where after half an hour, we went to our terminal. For myself, after more then 7 years haven't board a plane, I was like a kid, excited yet nervous and during the whole flight I was hit with a headache, I guess I was a bit air sick..but after the 2 hours & 30mins flight, we finally arrive in KLIA around 10pm.

After arriving at KLIA, through the customs & picking up our luggage, we headed to Bukit Bintang to Lady Rider & King Joe's hotel, which is the Piccolo Hotel. The trip itself took us about 45 mins....

After King Joe & Lady Rider checked in, we went around to have a look at the nearby shops..

At around 12, I checked into the Bintang Warisan....From there we then continued looking around at the shops which are still opened, whereby since it was my first time in a long time out of Brunei, I actually couldbt sleep until 6am although both my parents went to sleep early....

The view of Kuala Lumpur from my hotel room at 9am...whereby after a quick shower, I joined with my parents for the days walk around before heading to Bukit Jalil Stadium to watch Manchester United's training.....

While we were at the MRT Stations there were animal kiosks where we found love birds, rabbits & even a desert lizard..where the desert lizard was taken out by its caretaker and I had the chance to touch it...Here are some pics of the animals...

After some sight seeing and some shopping, we went back to our hotels to get ready for the Manchester United Training at Bukit Jalil Stadium before their match against Malaysia 11 on the 18th of July. So here is the photo story of the hype, preperations & travelling to the stadium..Where we had the opportunity to meet with some Man Utd Kids travelling with us...

Man Utd kids of Malaysia in the MRT with us..

The MRT station at Bukit Jalil packed with Man Utd fans to watch them train.

Bukit Jalil Stadium...

Then after an hour or so of Malaysia XI started their training, the main event where Man Utd were about to train. As the Malaysia XI left the field, all the supporters that were able to get a seat in the stadium were on the edge of their seats as we await the appearance of Manchester United players to emerge from the dugout and onto the pitch...

The training ended at about 7.30pm and we left the stadium with high hopes for the match on the next day...with that, we went to Times Square where we did a little window shopping and had dinner, though we were thoroughly exhausted we still went out and about and walked all the way to Bukit Bintang, where as we headed our separate ways, I was awaiting for a friend of mine to arrive in KL at 12am that night...

With that the rest of the story is to be continued...stay tune...cheers~
