Princess Termite's Birthday

Today the 18th of February 2009, I would like to wish my little sister, Nur Farahiyah aka Princess Termite a happy 18th birthday.

A short poem for you,

you were once a baby,
baby boo would say,
ga ga goo goo,
now you say the darndest things,
as you grow up and discover things,
try your best always,
to improve & find ways,
to keep learning,
never forget a thing,
so enjoy your birthday,
dont regret a day,
and enjoy day by day,
as you go through...

The pillow that she is holding was a gift given by myself & my tinkerbell, a princess pillow with a tiara, butterflies & also its pink her favourite colour, with that we wished her a grand year ahead.

Dream Car

I know that most people have always dreamt of owning their dream car, for example: King Joe's dream car is a Honda S2000 which of whom we, the terunjing termites, hope he will get it soon one way or another.

Well for myself, I have a few dream cars which my favourite would be from the same company producing King Joe's S2000, where by it is Honda's top of the range sports car known by many, the legendary NSX

Being a car which is lightly built with a carbon fibre body, a Mid ranged drive terrain, with a 3.2 litre engine & 6 speed manual transmission providing 270 Horse power, it really is one of sexiest cars around.

However, I have to say my other dream car is a huge 4x4, some call it like a truck, and is made by the competitors of Honda, whom are have a good reputation that is the same as honda does, Reliability! I have to say also that this dream car of mine, I have actually gotten to drive with it on roads & off the roads, as I actually have purchased the said car.It is the Toyota Hilux Vigo, 3.0cc, diesel engine with intercooler turbo, bed liner & roll bar.

My hilux though its been with me roughly about 5 months+ only, but it has gone to Temburong once & more than 5 times to Kuala Belait and a few times to Tutong convoying with Harley Davidsons. Nicknamed the hardworker, my hilux has given me a few surprises with being able to go 4x4, bringing a hundred boxes of mandarin oranges, bringing a Yamaha RD125 (Motorcycle) and is bringing anytype of things without any problem.

I have also added a few modifications to my hilux though it still looks original, as the modifications are rarely seen during the day time. Other then one, since this car of mine is an unofficial back up car for Harley Davidson Brunei Chapter well mostly for our parents, when there out riding so I have installed a sticker to help show that I am convoying with Harley Davidson Motorcycles.

Just an example, this picture was taken while we were on the way to Temburong, my Hilux was the back up car for Harley Davidsons from BSB to Temburong & Back.

The other additions to my car have been changing the yellow head lamp lights to white and also the installation of Blue L.E.D. light under the car.

Hm...it looks good, but I might also add a few more features, hope you guys will give me a few suggestions...Cheers..

Rain, Rain, Rain

Hm..another day another rainfall,

With the whole of the month of January, we have seen rainfall almost everyday with the happening of the worst flood that happened in Brunei only a few weeks past. Now we are in the month of February, and thanks to DST Com, informing all customers that there would be heavy rainfall from tomorrow, the 4th of February 2009 till the 7th February with the tide at high level ranging from 2.1 - 2.3 meters high.

We, the dreamer & Terunjing Termites with the help of DST, would like to inform to all Bruneians and the neighbouring countries to be wary and careful during these heavy rains where there will be possibility of Flooding & Landslides. Do take care on the roads and take care of your belongings especially for those who have houses at low lying areas.

A Friends Weddings

On this day, the 1st of February 2009,

A colleague of mine at my work place got himself married, with that I would like to tribute this post to him and his beloved new wife.

We started out going to the "Dewan Seri Kenangan" which is allocated in the Tutong District near to the Tutong Town itself, where my self and a few colleagues from my workplace gathered to meet up with the groom before sending him off to his bride.

Takaful BIBD staff's with the groom at a room where he gets ready for the event. Where then the event started with the shaking hands with the people who came for the function as an appreciation, where then there is a reciting of a "doa" for the groom

before leaving the hall off to Sungai Teraban to his wife for the next proceedings. From the hall myself and my colleagues went of to convoy with the groom to the bride's house, where then the groom meets up with his bride on the "Pelamin" with the next proceedings is the "cuci kaki".

While waiting for members of both side finishing doing the "Cuci Kaki", there was a group playing the traditional tunes of "Guling Tangan"

Where we then continued to the "pelamin" where the newly weds sat and pose with both sides of family members for their pictures to be taken for the wedding photo albums,

Whereby we got ourselves busy with our own photo session.

Where at the same time we had the chance to view a "suap-suapan" whereby the activity was for the bride & groom to feed eachother using their hands.

Then we finally had the chance to take pictures with the lucky couple.
